Our Fall Learning Event continues the Loving Boldly theme introduced at Annual Conference. This year, we will explore what it means to love boldly by beginning with how we care for ourselves, how we relate to one another, how we communicate our ministries, and how we strengthen our shared work across the Alaska Conference.

The event will combine wellness and wholeness, covenant and holy conferencing, communication and storytelling, technology, ministry collaboration, and practical work around our conference priorities of housing and hunger and young people’s ministry.
 

Location

We will be meeting at the Dimond Center Hotel & Conference Center (700 E. Dimond Blvd., Anchorage, 99515).
 

Cost

The Alaska Conference anticipates that travel and lodging expenses for this event will be covered through each pastoral leader’s Accountable Reimbursement account. We recognize that those traveling the greatest distances routinely face the highest costs. If financial barriers make participation difficult, please reach out to Director of Connectional Ministries, Kristi McGuire. Additionally, if a church or pastor is interested in sponsoring a colleague’s attendance, please contact Kristi or Conference Administrator Crystal Feaster.

November 5 – Thursday Pre-Event Wellness Activities: 11:00 am – 3:30 pm (hearing tests and dexascans)

November 5 – Thursday: 4 – 6:30 pm (with dinner)

November 6 – Friday: 8:30 am – 6:30 pm (with meals and mid-day breaks)

November 7 – Saturday: 8:30 am – 12:30 pm (with lunch)

Invitees

All clergy are expected to attend.  Laity – especially lay members to AC are encouraged to attend – event will be in person only – open to anyone in the connection for the workshops.
