The Alaska Conference is part of the Greater Northwest Episcopal Area of the United Methodist Church, located in the Western Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church, and, of course, part of the larger United Methodist Church.

In the Greater Northwest Area we partner together by sharing a Bishop, administrative resources, educational opportunities, and missional priorities. While many Alaskan clergy come to us from other parts of the US and World, we cooperate on clergy appointments across our Area as well and so you’ll find open Alaskan appointments on the Greater Northwest Area web page.

Covers the state of Washington and part of Idaho and is based out of Seattle, Washington
