Homer United Methodist Church pastor Charles Martindell is traveling to western North Carolina this summer, to meet with Jack Koontz and spend some time with the churches of that region from which so many United Methodists have come to Alaska through Volunteer In Missions trips. The North Carolina folks have been coming to Alaska for many years and this visit will bring a word of thanks. Homer United Methodist has benefited greatly from several VIM teams who helped with our (nearly) recently completed remodeling project. If your church has a story or some photos from when the North Carolina VIM teams have helped with your projects, or if you have a story about how your ministry is going and how the work of a VIM team has strengthened your church’s ministry, please email these to firstname.lastname@example.org. The hope is to include some words of gratitude from some of the many places in Alaska where the VIM teams of western North Carolina have served.
